WEINECK COBRA 427: 1800CV BAJO EL PEDAL

Indagando por mi repertorio de antiguas revistas, he re-descubierto un reportaje muy muy interesante sobre uno de los coches que mas me ha asombrado. Un Weineck Cobra 427. Aparecia en la Revista GTMAX nº3 de Octubre de 1999. Paso a relatarlo:

 Los Cobra de Weineck, con motores que, activando el kit nitro, pueden llegar hasta los 1.800 cv, no son automóviles aptos para cualquier conductor. Para tener un Weineck Cobra no es sufiente con poder pagarlo, el fabricante exige cierto pedigree en el mundo de la competición antes de ponerse a los mandos de un automóvil como este. Un coche para ex pilotos multimillonarios para quienes el Lambo o el Ferrari son utilitarios.

Como suele ocurrir en los paises avanzados en esto del automóvil, los grandes preparadores y los genios capaces de crear un superautomóvil, rara vez suelen estar en las grandes ciudades. La mayoria busca la tranquilidad de algún pequeño pueblo, o, incluso, acaban en mitad del campo en alguna granka o molino restaurado para la ocasión.

Cuando decidimos viajar en busca de Weineck, miramos en el mapa, donde se encontraba situado el pueblo que figuraba en la tarjeta que nos habían enviado. Nada mas llegar a Alemania, nos ponemos en marcha hacia esa zona, a mitad de camino entre Frankfurt y Hannover. Para confirmar, hacemos una llamada a las instalaciones de Weinexk anunciándole nuestra inminente llegada y rogándole nos indicase el camino mas apropiado para no perdernos. Seguimos las indicaciones y, ¡sorpresa!, nos encontramos en una pequeña aldea, en mitad de la campiña alemana, rodeada de maizales. Nos recibe el propio señor Weineck que se disculpa educadamente por tardar unos momentos en estar a nuestra disposición, “justo en este momento se encuentra en nuestras instalaciones un cliente muy importante, y debo atenderle, considérense en su casa. En ese instante, algo se oye rugir por una pequeña carretera entre padros. Un impresionante Cobra, con cientos, o miles de caballos se dirige hacia la nave. El sonido nos pone los pelos de punta, la velocidad con que se acerca delata que estamos ante un cobra fuera de serie.

Y es que en Weineck se dedican a fabricar los Cobra mas exclusivos del mundo. Coches sin rival, con mas de mil caballos (hasta 1.800 Cv) aptos unicamente para pilotos o conductores excepcionales.

 Esto no es un coche para cualquiera que le sobren unos cientos de miles de marcos , nos asegura al momento el señor Weineck, creador y artífice de estas joyas. Para conducir un weineck Cobra hay que tener muchas horas de circuito, un coche asi no se lo vendemos a cualquiera, no llegaria ni a la esquina

En weinexck se aseguran bien de quien es su cliente antes de hacerle un cobra a medida. El dinero no es lo mas importante. Si no se tiene acreditado pedigree en las pistas, no hay nada que hacer. Prefieren no tener cliente a poner en las manos de un inexperto un coche que, sin experiencia, es, simplemente, una maquina para partirse el craneo.

Pero: ¿Qué tipo de coche es este que no pueda ser conducido por cualquier mortal?.

Para empezar, un cobra es, aun de serie, un vehículo especial. Pero si a esto le añadimos una potencia de mas de 900 cv que activando un kit nitro incorporado, pueden converse en milésimas de segundo en mas de 1500, nadie dudará que cabalgar una maquina como esta no esta al alcance de cualquiera.

Nos movemos libremente por las instalaciones...La ultima tecnología en la fabricación de motores. Salvo los bloques de motor (todos V8) que son encargados, con planos, a un especialista de EEUU, todo se fabrica aquí. Los arboles de levas, las válvulas, los pistones, las bielas de titanio, los palieres de carbono, los discos de embrague, los piñones de la caja de cambios...Todo es fabricado a mano y uno a uno por los especialistas de weineck. Todo es muy importante aquí, cada pieza, cada tornillo es estudiado y torneado con perfección milimétrica. Nada puede fallar. Un automóvil de estas características somete a cada componente a esfuerzos titánicos. Todo esta reforzado, todo debe resistir “castigos” infernales cuando la maquina se pone en marcha. Los tradicionales piñones con dientes oblicuos de las cajas de cambio especiales son machacados sin piedad por el Weineck Cobra cuando todo se dispara. Han desarrollado unos especiales con dientes verticales, los unicos capaces de transmitir fuerza sin hacerse papilla.

La conducción de un weineck cobra es algo delicado, el brutal desarrollo de fuerza que genera ya desde bajas revoluciones, puede pillar desprevenido al mas experimentado piloto. Se trata de un automóvil puro, nada de civilizdos controles electrónicos de la tracción ni zarandajas, todo en este coche se siente, cada marcha parece sacar fuerzas del averno. Hay que saber estar a la altura, no perder comba, es una lucha titánica entre un hombre y una supermáquina.

A pesar de que en Weineck tienen una unidad participando en la compa alemana de clásicos, se resisten a montar en el cobra equipos aerodinámicos con los que contrarrestar las descomunales presiones a las que se ve sometido un automóvil que, aunque bien concebido, no nacio para ser un adalid frente a las turbulencias. En Weineck aconsejan no pasar la barrera de los 300 km/h, las turbulencias que genera esa velocidad en un automóvil como este, sin defensas aerodinámicas, lo harian prácticamente incontrolable. De cualquier modo, las sensaciones que puede ofrecer este cobra a su conductor no estan necesariamente ligadas a la velocidad punta. Pero no cabe duda de que el ciente es la clave de todo en el desarrollo de un Weineck. La empresa alienta que éste participe en todo el proceso, desde los planos hasta la fabricación de la ultima válvula. Weineck escucha con atención las opiniones de sus clientes, el proceso de individualizacion nunca acaba. Algo normal si tenemos en cuenta si tenemos en cuenta que entre los elegidos propietarios de este especial Cobra se encuentra mucha gente “importante”. Desde el Inevitable Sultan de Brunei hasta algun gran empresario alemán que el Lambo o el ferrari ya no le altera los niveles de adrenalina. Y es que , como dice Weineck: Este es un automóvil buscado, sobre todo, por aquellos que ya lo han probado todo. En el ultimo año solo 16 mortales han tenido acceso a un Weineck Cobra.
